Q: How do you change the windshield wiper motor on a 2000 chevy venture?
We know everything else there is to a car bu how to change the windshield wiper motor on this 2000 chevy venture van. Can anyone help us? Pictures or descriptions can help in any way. We need to find out about the linkage assembly, not the installation of the actual windshield wiper.
A: Lift the plastic cover off thats on the left. You will now see the wiper motor. All you need is ratchet set and a one of those star bits (forgot size). It should come right out.
Just install the new one, test and go.
Make sure NO ONE turns the car on while working. Otherwise, disconnect the battery before you begin. Safety First.

Q: Where are the voltage regulator and starter relay located on a 1997 Chevy Venture Mini Van?
My 1997 Venture Mini Van is the first Chevy I've ever owned. The starter just clicks rapidly when I attempt to start it. Being familiar with Fords, I would check the battery, starter, starter relay, and voltage regulator, as I know where all those are located. I do not however know where the voltage regulator and starter relay are located on the Venture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
A: The Voltage Regulator has been inside the Alternator for many years now on most cars, about 35 years on Chevy's. It's been controlled by the ECM for about 20-some years on most Chevy's. The Starter Relay, such as it is, is a part of the Starter Solenoid function. Basically it takes the place of the Starter Relay and the pole-shoe assembly on the old Fords.
The clicking that you're hearing is the Starter Solenoid, basically engaging and then disengaging because you don't have enough juice to work the Starter Motor. Which of course could be because your Alternator is not charging the Battery, as well as a worn out Battery, or poor connections.
Best thing to do at this point is check all your connections, then jump the Battery to get it going, and check the Voltage while the car is running. If it's around 13 to 15 volts, and you didn't leave any lights on, it's probably time for a new Battery. If it's below 12.6, then you have a Charging System problem.

Q: Why does my 2003 Chevy Venture continue to beep?
My 2003 Chevy venture keeps beeping (as soon as you turn it on), all the time (kind of like the door chime) without any fault/error or idiot light on.
A: Maybe the door jamb switch is bad and the car thinks the door is open. Look at the switch on both doors and see if there is a visual difference between the two. One of mine was bad and if I would leave the headlights on and didn't know I did when I got out, it wouldn't warn me because of the switch. The car thought the door was closed. So it wouldn't beep. Sounds like you have the opposite going on for you.
Q: Where is the AC port on a Chevy Venture?
Hi. I have a Chevy Venture that needs AC refridgerent for the system to work. I found 2 ports that the "charger" goes. Which port is it...the one by the Engine coolent tub or the port infront of the engine intake manifold?
A: There are TWO ports. One is slightly larger then the other. You charge through the LARGER port. It is the Low side pressure. NEVER try to charge through the smaller port. If you look closely, you will see the one that is bigger then the other.

A: Write down all the codes on the R P O decal.(3"X 5"?) It is a usually found on the glove box or door,spare tire cover.Take the codes to the parts counter of the nearest Chevrolet dealer.They can tell from these codes if the vehicle was built with this option.While there ,they can also help you get the remote control/keyfob you need. It'll have to be programmed for that vehicle. This can also be done at the dealer.
Q: 98 chevy venture 3400 runs great cold when wrmed up runs rich shuts off. Any ideas?
Venture been at the dealer for a month now. It has a 180900 miles on it. always ran good. Recently it started to shut off when warm. Check engine light is on. Dealer has replaced 02 sensors and light is still on runs the same. Dealer has replaced wiring harness under van,fuel pump, many other sensors. Now they say it can not be fixed. Help please? Where I live there is no other chevy garages around for 200 miles.
A: Have they told you what codes are in there?? O2 sensors can go bad, but they usually read what is going on with the engine! There could be several things affecting this, fuel pressure regulator leaking - causing it to run rich or if it's leaking enough to lose fuel pressure. A Mass Air Flow sensor that's dirty or just burnt up. A coolant sensor that reads incorrect, they rely on heat vs. resistance to inform the computer how warm the engine is. You could have a computer that is shorting out or going open also. I would think that a tech at the dealership should know what they are looking at before randomly replacing parts! If they are unable to repair your truck, they shouldn't be charging you for repairs that don't fix it either! Obviously there missing the mark!

so, my 2002 chevy venture minivan shakes if i press the gas or put on N (nuetral). is this a transmission problem or engine mounts? any other suggestions? please help. thanks
so what is misfire and how do i fix it? it didntpass the smog today and the engline light was on but took it to autozone and now the light is off.

A: It can't be the transmission, since it's disengaged in neutral. Sounds like it might be motor mounts, but a split or disconnected vacuum hose can have some pretty weird symptoms, too.

A: Ins. co. will split high book and low book and pay in the middle. They don't care how nice the vehicle was. Year and miles are all they look at. If it wasn't his fault, tell him to hold firm on more money for the vehicle, as their client was the one who caused the accident. If it was his fault, still hold firm for the money. A: the possible cause is that the gear's synchronizer that shifting from 2nd to 3rd it getting worn , it needs to be replaced .
Q: Can you help me figure out why my 99 Chevy Venture Squeaks?
I have a 1999 Chevy Venture van. It runs great except for this squeaking noise. When you turn right it squeaks like a
tricycle with a rusted wheel.
I took it to my mech Wed. He said he took the entire uncarriage apart, checked bushings, sway bar, control arm, shocks, struts, tires, rotors, and even checked ball joints throughly. He said he checked everything he could possibly think of, he could find nothing and charged me nothing.
The squeaking is so aggravating that I always ride with the radio up fairly loud to drown out the noise. Last night I noticed that this squeaking 99% of the time only happens when I am turning *RIGHT* into a parking lot/4way/or any right turns--- and causing the van to rock from left to right. When I turn *LEFT* anywhere also causing the van to rock from left to right it doesn't do it.
I mean it is terrible. It sounds as if the van is just an old rusted piece of junk. Only recall - STEERING:GEAR BOX:SHAFT SECTOR #99V071000
Please help.
It's not the brakes. It's been doing this for over 2 years on and off. Here lately it has gotten worse. Brakes have been checked, but I can tell you right off this is no brake squeak. Imagine rocking the van side to side and hearing this awful squeaking sound continuously. Now image that same rocking while your driving. It never stops.
A: If the noise is not affecting the van's performance, or limiting the ease with which it turns, or making the brakes spongy, I have two suggestions. There is a sending unit in the power steering that is supposed to limit the gear to gear turn so you don't over extend the pump and limit it's life. If this sending unit is faulty, the turn will hyperextend beyond the limit and cause the belt to squeak.
Second, the belt tensioner will have more force applied when you turn right if you are getting an engine shift (like a broken motor mount). Then engine will raise on one side and cause all kinds of difficulty. Check these two things first. If neither turns out to be the cause I'd say you may have a piece of fenderwell loose that's rubbing on the inside of your wheel/tire when you turn right.

Q: Chevy Venture Instrument Cluster on and off when driving?
Chevy Venture 2002. all of the needles reset to zero, info center reset and Trac light is on after drive a few minute. knock the cluster. everything turns to be normal but TRAC and security light is still on. no problem driving on Hiway speed.
A: Get in your dash and check your wire connections, sounds like somethings loose.

wanted to find a rear seat for 2000 chevy venture. I have 50/50 seat and I need a bench seat that seats 3. Could this be switched? Where to find one in the keller area
A: You may go to a salvage yard they would be your best bet. It should fit although I thought all the 3rd row seats were a 3 seat 50/50 bench.
