Q: Where is the rear washer fluid resevoir located on a 2001 Chevy Trailblazer?

A: most of the time, its in the back, on the hatch...some newer models are actually in the one under your hood, which also goes to your front windshield...good luck !!!

Q: Trailblazer Rattle?
I have a 2001 Chevy Trailblazer and I have noticed for some time that there is a rattle coming from the rear end. The rattle is only audible when I go over bumps or such and it sounds as if it is coming from the driver side. Any suggestions? "burn it - it's a chevy" - I'm with you on that, weena

A: I've heard this rattle in other Trailblazers. It's not a problem, it's actually a feature of the GM products and is universal in their lineup. Chances are one of their overpaid union workers didn't check to see if all the bolts were tight. Take it to the dealer, and when they say they never encountered this problem before, tell them BS. They work for GM, they've dealt with all kinds of problems before. Most GM enthusisiast aren't intelligent enough to actually hear while they are concentrating on driving so it often goes unnoticed.

Q: I am interested in buying a used chevy trailblazer and I was wondering if anybody new of any problems with it?
a 2001-2003

A: I am a mechanic and as one, I wouldn't own one if it was given to me. Really... GM has some really sad engineering developed into these unpleasant pieces of %$#Y and when they come in to the shop, we just hate it. Very unpleasant to work on, the value nosedives as they depreciate so much. Most american vehicles do sadly. If I were you, I'd look at a 4 runner or something comparable. More money in the beginning but the maintenance and resale is great. Oh, and I am not a JAPANESE car mechanic per se. I fix all makes and models, I own a Ford AND an old GM (69' El Camino) and my daily driver is a Land Rover Range Rover. So, I am not biased. Another good choice if 4wd is important are any of the newer Subarus. Hope that helps.

Q: Why does my car's air conditioning vents blow out the smell of gas fumes sometimes?
I have a 2001 Chevy Trailblazer and recently I have discovered that sometimes the smell of gas comes out of the vents in the air conditioning. It goes away for the most part but at times when it starts acting up it really smells bad forcing me to open the window driving. I already know to take it to get it checked soon but has this happened to anyone before? Also I am aware it's a leak somewhere but anyone have an idea how much will cost me? I'm really bad when it comes to car's so I'm not too sure what to look for. I haven't seen any visible leaking coming from under the car but it's just the smell that concerns me. Thank you

A: ANY time you smell gas your right you have a gas leak. Get it fixed. The small sparks the blower motor for your climate system could set some flames off right in your face. I like the picture you chose for your ID. you might see ghuys with that hat on all around your truck soon...
