Q: I need to replace my radio fuse for a 2004 chevy tracker but I do not have a owner's manual. Help please?

A: Look under the dash for a fuse box and under the hood. It is usually under dash on the drivers side. Pull the cover off and look at the back side of the cover for a diagram of fuses. if there isn't one alot of the time they will be labeled right in the panel. If none of these work call a chevy dealer and ask for parts they can tell you where it is located. Good luck!

Q: I have a Reinell 1972 18ft with a 140 inboard motor, what is the weight. Will my 2004 Chevy Tracker tow it?

A: That boat probably weighs about 2400 lbs with the trailer. The Tracker (in 2001) has a 3000 lbs towing capacity. I wouldn't tow more than that but if you don't need to tow it over the mountains, you should be fine. Leave a lot of extra space in front of you for stopping. We have a 17 1/2' Bayliner open-bow with a 130 hp I/O. It weighs 2200 lbs with the trailer. I tow it with my 120 hp '85 4Runner and it's not bad on the flats. For the mountains, we use Mom's 183 hp '98 4Runner. That works pretty well. Use low-range 4wd to get the boat up the ramp...it'll be a lot easier on your truck. You can use 4wd on pavement as long as you don't turn much....it's great for boat ramps.

Q: My 2004 chevy tracker with convertible top is leaking and I can't find any holes...any suggestions?

A: Sometimes heat and cold will make the seams on a convertible top leak. The constant expansion and contraction make tiny hole that water can get through. Go to Pep Boys, Checker, or a local auto parts store and purchase a solution that will tighten the seams. I cannot remember the name but it will shrink the seams and seal it up nice and tight.

Q: "Service Engine Soon" Light?
On my 2004 Chevy Tracker, the light just came on saying "Service Engine soon." Is this something I need to look into, or is it possibly just because my car's coming up on 3000 miles since the last oil change? I've only had this car for a month! Thanks!

A: It's not your oil needing changed.. you need to have the code read. If it is flashing, you need to get it checked ASAP.

Q: We got ripped off on our car loan?
A little over 4 years ago, my then-fiance and I traded in my Chevy Tracker for a used 2004 Dodge Stratus. Including the payoff on the Tracker, the loan was for $24,000...including $6000 in finance charges. UGH! Around July of this year, we started getting phone calls from the bank stating that we haven't been making payments on our car. BUT WE HAVE...AND on time. To make them happy, in August, my husband sent in the August payment AND the September payment. October's payment isn't due until the 23rd, but we started getting phone calls this past week saying that if we don't make a payment, that our car is going to get seized. As it turns out, the bank CHANGED our account number a year and a half ago (but didn't tell us), and all our payments have been going to an old account. But it wasn't until July of this year that they started having problems with our account. Our money has been consistantly taken out of our bank account. But Wells Fargo is still threatening to take our ONLY car, which, by the way, is barely functioning. We've had so much work done to that car, and now we can't run the a/c all the time or else the car will die. We live in Phoenix, Arizona!! Thank goodness winter is coming. My husband and I share 1 car, so we work totally different shifts to be able to share it. We have 2 children, and I just gave birth last week to our youngest. What can we do?????? Anything?

A: Yep, buy a 1993 Corolla off Ebay for 2 grand and pay cash for it. Now you have proper wheels and can be a tad more relaxed you can start dealing with the absurd s h@t you are mentioning. This is the second 2004 Dodge I hear of today that's a lemon, perhaps you have a case somewhere, somehow.
