Q: is driving a 2008 chevy equinox anything like driving a chevy 2008 tahoe?
i drive the 2008 tahoe just fine but its my moms and now i want to get an equinox.
anyone care to share?
A: No, it's not even close.
Q: is it possible to buy a 2008 chevy tahoe for low income families?
that makes probably less than 25000 a year and with a lot of bills
A: Unless you have a lot of money down, you will not have the income to qualify for the payments. You are talking about a vehicle that costs almost as much as the family makes in two years!
Unless there is a source of down payment or income that you have not listed here, the answer is no!
Q: 2008 Cadillac Escalde or 2008 Chevy Tahoe which SUV is better?
In every category please me which is better.
MPG, customer satisfaction, which is more durable, which is more dependable, which lasts longer, fuel efficiency, good quality
etc.... which is better?
Chevy Tahoe is available in Hybrid as well.
A: Heres how it goes. They are both the same car, with different labels on them. The difference comes mainly with price. You are going to pay 35% more for an Escalade. And as soon as you drive the Escalade off the lot, it decreases it's value to that of the Tahoe. The Tahoe however holds its value much longer.
Q: Is the 2008 Chevy Tahoe safe?
I'm about to get a new car and I was wondering if the 2008 Chevy Tahoe's were safe.
A: yeah they are safe but they are slightly top heavy like all SUVs are so if you slam on the breaks and turn as hard as possible it'll hit two wheels maybe flip, but you have to try to get them to lose control otherwise and they hold up well in a wreck. the only thing i would do instead is try and get a 2008 suburban instead because it gets the same fuel economy but has a lot more room. a Tahoe is really just a blazer with a big backseat and engine, and you can negotiate them down to the prices of a Tahoe.
Q: Thinking of buying a 2008 Chevy Tahoe. Anything I should know/worry about?
With all the great incentives, I thought it may be a great time to buy a 2008 Chevy Tahoe. Anything I should worry about? Ask about? I'm also thinking on a 2008 Ford Explorer. Open to suggestions!!
A: If you really need the towing capabilities or space and can still afford the gas, then go for it. Incentives are huge on big vehicles like that. Don't worry about GM going bankrupt if they do. It will happen because people don't buy vehicles, so help them out.
The Explorer is also great. They are actually cheaper than the Tahoe from what I've seen and the incentives are just as high. I personally would choose the Explorer, but either vehicle would work.
Q: Where is the cheapest place for me to buy a chevy tahoe or suburban 2008?
Hello, i am desperately looking for a new car (the suburban 2008 or tahoe 2008) and i don't know where to look! Please, i need some sites which will give low prices...or places to find cars that are used....not used over 15k miles though!
Thanks
A: Try autotraders.com? under the find your car section or edmunds.com? or auto.yahoo.com? internet has some each prices but it doesn't beat test driving in person.
Q: I have a 2008 Chevy tahoe I order some body parts how do I get the color codes?
I order the car and it is not here as yet, I am trying to find a way online to pull up the tahoe's color codes. Can someone give me a short cut on how to get access to these codes. Please don't tell me to contact the dealer or look in the door panel and get the code from there. Because of the situation I am not able to do neither of those things.
A: The glove box has the RPO codes, some trucks have the codes in other places like the spare tire cover. The label is white with black letters and numbers. The paint and trim codes are usually the lower line of codes. Your local dealer parts department can help you and usually they will without any problem. They can look up the VIN and get the RPO codes through the GM vehicle information system if the label is missing or illegible.
Q: how do I remove my stock radio on a 2008 chevy tahoe?
A: Park it on a side street and don't lock the door. Go see a movie and when you get back to your car it has been removed.
Q: What is considered an AWESOME deal for a 2008 Chevy Tahoe?
Okay,
I am interested in a new 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ 2WD. It is fully loaded (Navigation, DVD, the works)
The vehicle price is $50,000 but they are having a "Red tag sale" saying I pay only $40,000. Although this sounds pretty good...I just think it could go lower.
My question is: I hate buyers remorse....so, how much LOWER can I haggle??
What is the dirt cheapest I could offer and they'd go for it?
Does anyone know if this redtag sale is their bottom line?
People with car sales experience...Please help!!

Thanks a bunch!
A: Before you buy this vehicle go on kbb.com and see what the suggested retail value is on the vehicle (which is what the dealer should sell it for) then go back and see what the trade in value is (which is what a dealer SHOULD give you for it if you trade it in). Look how much money you lose. The best thing I've heard from a car dealer is that kelly blue will never give you money for your vehicle. They will never write you a check for it. So basically look at the trade in value and knock a couple thousand dollars off of that. You lose a ton of money. The market for SUV's and trucks have crashed since the economy and gas prices and car dealers are ripping people off left and right. You may think you're getting a decent deal but in reality if you go to trade that vehicle in you are losing so much money. I bought an SUV last winter. It had very low miles and was in great condition. I had it for only 3 months before I could no longer afford to fill it and I went to trade it into the same dealership I bought it from and I could not believe what they offered me for it. I paid 4 times what they offered me for it only 3 months before. Please be careful. I still have the SUV because I was not going to lose all that money. But here I am stuck in a gas guzzler. Think long and hard before you make that kind of investment. A car dealer is not going to tell you that they are ripping you off. I will say that if you do decide to go ahead with it, then a chevy tahoe is the best option as far as SUV's go. My husband is a mechanic and they rarely make their way into the shop except for routine maint. They tend to be very reliable. If you're going to buy the vehicle don't ever settle with the price on the tag. Car dealers always set their prices high in order to have room to work with. Make them a rediculous offer. They will come back with something and see where you can settle. Good luck!

Mdcbert, I am not a sucker nor a fool. I need a bigger car for my expanding family and I'd rather drive a bitchen gas guzzler than a mini van.
The money I pay for in gas really isn't an issue, and actually wasn't even my question. But thanks for your useless answer.
A: The new red tag sale is supplier price which is 3% over invoice. Offer to pay invoice on the unit and ask to be shown the factory invoice. If they wont do that go else where. if I had one on my lot I would take invoice right now. The only 2 I have left one is a base unit and one is a lt3 without nav.
Q: Would stock 2008 Chevy Tahoe wheels fit on my 1996 4wd 2-door Tahoe?
A: Both the 2008 tahoe and the 1996 4wd 2 door tahoe share the same bolt pattern 6-139 I can see no reason these would not interchange.Best of luck.
Q: what is the bolt pattern on a 2008 chevy tahoe?
A: It doesnt matter becuase you dont need those big gangster rims on your brand new chevy.
Q: should i trade my 2007 chrysler 300C for a 2007-2008 chevy Tahoe?
A: If you no longer have use for the 300C, Yes. Peoples needs change all the time. Hopefully you own the Chrysler so you will have positive equity when you purchase your new truck.
Q: Has anyone tried the new 2008 Chevy Tahoe?
A: Tried? I've driven several 2008 Escalades (Cadillac version of the Tahoe). If the Tahoe drives anything like the Escalade, It's ok. The lower end isn't all that great, you have to get it up to 2-3k rpms to get any power. The handling isn't too great, you feel like your going to tip over when you take turns. Also, the thing is a pain to park.
All in all, not worth the money.
Q: Why is the engine light on my 2008 Chevy Tahoe (1,000 miles) on ? Thanks?
A: The computer has a sensor that is operating out of normal range. Take it to the dealer and have them check it. Its under warranty.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,UJN
