Q: 2001 Chevy Suburban Blower Motor Resistor Replacement?
Anyone know what the part number is, how much it is and what the replacement procedure is?

A: part number# 15305077 cost 20.75 it takes about 15 minutes to change it. located on the passenger side under the dash by the blower motor

Q: What would cause my 2001 Chevy Suburban Heater Fan to not work?
The fan works fine on settings 2 through 5 (on the dial) but when I put it on #1 (the lowest setting) it does nothing. What would cause that?

A: blower motor resistor or fan switch about 50 / 50 chance for either very rarely damaged wiring or wiring connectors

A: If it still does the shaking when you shift it to neutral at 10mph, its NOT the engine.

I have a 2001 chevy suburban, my ABS and brake light come on some times while I'm driving and stay on. My mechanic says that there is nothing wrong, he has not seen the lights on but say he checked and could not find anything wrong with the brakes. does anybody has the same problem?

A: Check your tire pressure. If one tire is really low compared to the others the computer will not get correct readings from that wheel's ABS sensor and the computer will turn off the system and turn on your ABS light.

A: Only your lender can answer that for you. You need to call them to find out if they'll allow a deferment. i doubt they will, given the state of credit today and extremely tight money. But the only way you'll know for sure is to call them.

Q: I have a 2001 Chevy Suburban, that seems to use almost all of it's oil in between oil changes. I don't appear

A: If that's the 8.1 engine there where some issues with intake manifold gaskets losing their seal and sucking oil from the crankcase. I think there's a service bulletin regarding it. Otherwise I don't believe there's any pattern failures.

A: There is a battery hold down screw on either side of the battery its black and itt has a bolt in the middle of it. You need to find it remome it to release the battery.

A: Yep, ignition system quits working. It feels just like you turned off the key, then revives itself at ~94. It has the power and the gearing to go faster, but you will need an aftermarket programmer to change the speed limiter.

Q: Cost of a new transmission and front bumper for a 2001 Chevy Suburban?
Today I blew my transmission and (sort of) wrecked my front bumper trying to plow through a snowbank to get out of my street. Somebody today told me it could cost anywhere from $750 to $3000. A: well for the bumper id say anywhere from $500-$750 and your transmission anywhere from $2000-$5000 maybe even $6000 get a good one , a Allison one nice truck by the way

A: Go ahead get one. I have a 2002 Chevy Surburban and not a problem she given me. Matter of fact it goes through place better then my dads jacked-up Ford or my friends Ford expedition. You can tow a trailer and haul 10 people inside going on a trip, Mine has 243,965 miles all original except exhaust system and shes still rolling just like she was new. So get one!
